Psychiatrists are not the only ones who can offer help in this area. Psychologists and occupational therapists would probably actually be more versed and better able to help you with your challenges. Additionally, most areas have autism support groups. While you'll mainly meet parents of autistic children there, they can be the best resource for learning about autism and where to get help in your area.

By the way, thank you for teaching me the word 'hyperlexia': Now I have another word to help describe my awesome son.

Good luck.
References :
Am i a/an hyperlexia/asperger ?
Hi, i couldn't found any experienced psychiatrist in hyperlexia and other versions of autism at my town so hope someone with knowledge at this can help.

here are symptoms

-ability to learn reading and writing and making basic calculations at age 3 without any help.
-poor social abilities.
-very bad at sports, handwriting, cycling(completely unable).
-i can not touch people.
-lack of showing emotions with face, complete unable to use hands to show emotions.
-fast talking sometimes, few tone changes.
-a wardrobe full of black shirts :)
-i liked to talk with adults rather than kids at my age at my childhood.
-heavy deppression because of teasing due to bad socialising between age 12-16.

I know getting help from a psychiatrist would be the best one to understand this but for now it seems impossible.

p.s.Any english talking help group suggestions are absolutely welcome.

p.s.s.I am 25.

There is a very large misconception about the compound Thimerosol. Thimerosol is an Organomercury compound. It is metabolized by the body.

The "toxic mercury" is Methylmercury, which is a completely different substance.

Confusing the two is like saying that water and air are the same because both contain oxygen molecules.

There are absolutely NO scientific links between any diseases and Thimerosol.

What happens is that children happen to receive their vaccinations at the same age as the onset of Autism, therefore giving this false sense of a link. Although the number of vaccinations has increased over the years (as others have pointed out), are we to say that this is the cause of Autism? The number of obeise mothers has also drastically increased... perhaps we should so logically say this is the reason instead?

There is absolutely zero link between Thimerosol and Autism. The dangers of NOT immunizing your children posses them with a HUGE threat and also places your surrouding community at risk as it allows for the re-emergence of diseases.
References :
I am a Microbiologist (PhD candidate)

Vaccines definatly cause autism and the government knows it.

"Also, if you think there's a link between vaccines and autism, then how come only some vaccinated children get autism and others don't?"

Why does one person sneeze around cats and another does not.?
Because we are all different. Pretty simple isn't it, but the great minds at the CDC and FDA and the vaccine producers can't even figure this simple fact out. One size fits all medicine, it's dangerous-but cheap.

autism is treatable and reversible.
References :
parent of recovering 3 year old

Mercury poisoning can cause autism in adults. A traumatic reaction to a vaccine can cause autism in small children. So, there is always a possiblity for a bad batch to cause autism. However, compared to all the cases of autism in the world, it is truly simple-minded to say that vaccines in general put a child at even a small risk to develop autism.
References :
I suspect that many things can cause autism. In my daughters case they tried to detect if she had autism, early onset alzheimers, or some other processing difficulty.

In her case, a combination of Mycoplasma Fermentans (discovered by a PCR test done through MDL laboratory), and Borrelia (lyme disease) caused her autism.

After long term treatment (ILADS treatment guidelines) for her lyme disease she recovered from the autism. We did try the IDSA treatment first, but it failed to fully take care of the problem and the infectious disease doctor said she had post lyme, but with further tests and a new doctor, long treatment helped her tremendously!

The vaccine link I believe, is that the vaccines lower the immune system, then the bacteria (if it is present). takes over. Further according to Dr. Garth Nicholson, a research doctor, M. Fermentans may be in some of the vaccine supply accidently. So maybe there is some exposure there.
References :
Chronic Mycoplasmal Infections in Gulf War Veterans' Children and Autism Patients by G.L.
"This does not represent anything other than a very special situation," said Dr. Julie Gerberding, head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Who are you going to believe the Boss doing the spin or the Judge that slipped?

The case may not be a first, said Gary Golkiewicz, chief special master for the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He oversees the special "vaccine court" which rules on requests for payments from the vaccine injury fund.
"Years ago, actually, I had a case, before we understood or knew the implications of autism, that the vaccine injured the child's brain caused an encephalopathy," he said. And the symptoms that come with that "fall within the broad rubric of autism."
And there are other somewhat similar cases, Golkiewicz says, that were decided before autism and its symptoms were more clearly defined

All the hysterical parents are saying is Green our vaccines. Look at the facts:
1983: Autism rate 1 in 10,000
Vaccine schedule 10 shots
2008: Autism rate in boys 1 in 70
Vaccine schedule 36
My sons last words:
"My name is Tanner. My name is Tanner."
The week of his shots for school...
Show me any other campaign for disinformation as wound up as this one by the medical(vaccine maker) community. Remove the Mecury, Aluminum, formaldehyde, ether, antifreeze. Reevaluate the schedule. What was the death rate from these deadly diseases in 1983 that we had to add 26shots? If there are side effects to the vaccinations all we asking for is support for therapy, respite, and recovery.

I think there is a genetic predisposition like there is for a lot of other diseases (Cancer). I know though that something strange is happening in our environment to cause so many more cases.
References :
www.ageofautism.com

All the hysterical parents are saying is Green our vaccines. Look at the facts:
1983: Autism rate 1 in 10,000
Vaccine schedule 10 shots
2008: Autism rate in boys 1 in 70
Vaccine schedule 36
My sons last words:
"My name is Tanner. My name is Tanner."
The week of his shots for school…
Show me any other campaign for disinformation as wound up as this one by the medical(vaccine maker) community. Remove the Mecury, Aluminum, formaldehyde, ether, antifreeze. Reevaluate the schedule. What was the death rate from these deadly diseases in 1983 that we had to add 26shots? If there are side effects to the vaccinations all we asking for is support for therapy, respite, and recovery.

I think there is a genetic predisposition like there is for a lot of other diseases (Cancer). I know though that something strange is happening in our environment to cause so many more cases.
References :
http://www.ageofautism.com
